Pearl Jam Says Goodbye to Longtime Drummer Matt Cameron

Cameron’s journey with Pearl Jam began in 1998 when he stepped in as a temporary replacement for Jack Irons during a tour. His impact, however, proved to be far more than temporary. He quickly became an integral member, making his studio debut on the band’s 2000 album Binaural. Prior to his nearly three-decade tenure with Pearl Jam, Cameron had already established himself as a prominent figure in the music scene as the drummer for Soundgarden, another cornerstone of the Seattle grunge movement.
