Quantoz Payments B.V. has rolled out its latest innovation, the Embedded Payment Services platform, which is a modular API-based solution aimed at simplifying the integration of regulated digital money and related financial services. This platform is targeted at fintech companies, digital platforms, and payment service providers, allowing them to seamlessly incorporate features like digital accounts, wallets, payments, and compliance into their offerings. Potje, a Dutch application designed for group savings, is the first to utilize this new service, enabling friends, families, and colleagues to save collectively towards mutual goals.

The introduction of Quantoz’s Embedded Payment Services marks a significant expansion of their product suite, moving beyond their existing regulated e-money tokens. This service facilitates the development of payment and settlement solutions across European markets by offering APIs and infrastructure that mitigate the complexities tied to licensing, compliance, safeguarding, and operational infrastructure. The platform is based on blockchain-native technology, granting partners the flexibility to integrate and scale various components according to specific needs. Key features include digital accounts, wallets, a Pay by Bank payment option, and robust fraud and compliance processes.

Having collaborated closely with Quantoz during the platform’s development, Potje stands as its inaugural live partner. The integration allows Potje users to benefit from secure fund storage under the oversight of the Dutch Central Bank, with the capability to add funds via a Europe-wide Pay by Bank service. Instant processing of payouts and flexible withdrawals further enhance the user experience. Potje’s CEO, Bastiaan Reurink, emphasized that this collaboration aims to make group saving more accessible and secure, highlighting the platform’s support for faster top-ups and immediate payouts as part of their vision to become a leading group money account across Europe.

Arjen van Klaarbergen, the Chief Legal Officer of Quantoz Payments, highlighted that the new platform offers fintechs and digital platforms a regulated digital-money infrastructure without the need to develop their own compliance and payment operations. Quantoz Payments operates under its existing regulatory framework as a licensed Electronic Money Institution (EMI) in the Netherlands, supervised by the Dutch Central Bank. The funds exchanged for e-money are safeguarded according to European regulatory standards. The Embedded Payment Services are accessible to fintechs, platforms, and payment service providers throughout the European Economic Area (EEA).

Potje, the Dutch fintech application, allows groups to save towards collective objectives by creating digital savings pots, inviting contributors, and tracking progress for various occasions such as group vacations, shared gifts, and other joint goals.
